Hello all,

I am wondering if there is a way to get macros from installed add-ins to show up in the Macro list (the one that pops up when you click on "Macros" in the "Code" group of the Developer tab)? Currently my screen only shows macros saved in open excel workbooks.

I have a lot of macros that I have saved to add-ins and sometimes they are difficult to find by digging through my multiple add-in files, modules, and procedures. I want a unified list of them.

I am open to other solutions as well, I just want a place that shows all of my macros in one place so that I can run, edit, or step into them with ease.

Thanks in advance!

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Where you see all Open Workbooks
If you click on the V icon
You should see Personal
On the Menu Bar click on Developer
And on far left you should see Visual Basic
Click on there and you should see your Macros.
Click on one and drag it into the Personal Folder.

You can run the script by assigning it a shortcut key on Clicking in The Macro Box on the ribbon.
This is the same place where you assign the script to a shortcut key

Now these are module scripts.
Not sheet scripts.

As far as I'm aware macros in an add-in cannot be viewed in the macro dialog box.

This to me seems like a gross oversight. Is there any workaround while keeping on using add-ins?

Can you place the macro in the Personal.xlsb without altering its functionality?
