Accessing Personal Macro Workbook

I created a Personal.xlsb file that has saved successfully but it doesn't open automatically when I open an Excel workbook. I tried checking under Add-Ins and Disabled Items, but there are no items listed.

If I locate and open the file directly from the C:\ drive, it then gets added to the Project Explorer in Excel and I am able to use it, but it doesn't open automatically when I open Excel.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

I'm out of options here. Your next step I believe is to 1) reinstall Excel and 2) contact Microsoft as it appears that you have done all you are supposed to do. You may have corrupted Excel at some point and it is having issues. Just a guess. Good Luck.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
I actually can't see a 'blocked' checkbox at all. Under General, I have 'Read-only' and 'Hidden' checkboxes, and then if I click Advanced, I have 'File is ready for archiving' which is ticked, and 'Aallow this file to have contents indexed...' which is also ticked. Then 2 checkboxes for compressing and encrypting options.

You won't see the blocked checkbox if it isn't blocked which is why I worded it as
is there a "blocked" checkbox
