Accessing Personal Macro Workbook

I created a Personal.xlsb file that has saved successfully but it doesn't open automatically when I open an Excel workbook. I tried checking under Add-Ins and Disabled Items, but there are no items listed.

If I locate and open the file directly from the C:\ drive, it then gets added to the Project Explorer in Excel and I am able to use it, but it doesn't open automatically when I open Excel.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Thanks for your reply, Alan.

I have looked at the link and can confirm it is in the correct location. I also typed in the code (?Application.StartupPath) in VBE as instructed and it returned the correct path where the file is stored.

Many Thanks

Is it hidden and therefore you believe it is not loaded?

I don't think it is hidden as I am unable to see or use any of the macros that are stored in there either. For example, when I use the macro shortcut, nothing happens. However if I open personal.xlsb directly from xlstart, I can then see it appear and I am able to run the macros normally. Until I close and re-open Excel and then it has disappeared again...

It shouldn't be by your description but if you right click the Personal Workbook then click properties, under the general tab is there a "blocked" checkbox that is checked?
