Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Can you provide more details about these fields and the problems you are incurring?

One thing to note is that if you are importing/linking data from Excel, you do not have the ability to specify the format of the fields that are coming in. One way around this is to export the data to a text file, and then import the text file into Access where you can use the Import Wizard and have the ability to specify your field formats.
