Hello. I have an application that goes to a new record when the user begins the app. It sits on a record that has only a ctlno and .00 in the amount field. The amount field is bound to a field in a table and there is a validation rule on it that won't allow records to be written if the amount field is Zero. This works fine as long as the user is entering other information in the record.
My problem is this: If the user wants to view a previous record instead of entering a new record, the validation rule fires an error box that forces the user to enter an amount.
Is there anyway to check to see if the left arrow on the scrollbar has been pressed? Can I bypass this validation msg if the left arrow is pressed?
(This is causing me a headache today )
