I recently upgraded to Excel 2000. If I Put the letter A in cell A1, B in A2 and C in A3 with the intent of dragging the cells to automatically complete the list, it does not work unless I go in and create a custom fill list with the alphabet. Is this standard? I do not remember having to do this in the past.

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
I'm using Excel 97 today, and A,B,C does not fill automatically when dragging fill handle.

What version did you upgrade from?

Glenn.
