2010 pivot table query question

I used to use 2003 excel for making my pivot tables. While designing a pivot table if I was wanting to bring in data from two different tables I would be sent to a query screen where I could make a join and set Critias. However, in 2010 I never am offered this and cannot seem to get into this screen to change any of my old queries for the critieas. Help please
