Difficult (if not impossible) XIRR question: Solving for final cash flow given and XIRR target?
Looking for a suggestion for a formula to solve for a final cash flow given an XIRR target? For example: Formula in cell I3=XIRR($A2:I2,$A$1:I$1,0.1) I've goal seeked for value in cell I2 that yeilds 20%, 30% and 40% IRR's. XIRR Selecting Multiple arrays
I am trying to calculate the IRR for a series of cash flows and dates and wanted to use the XIRR function. My issue is that my data isn't necessarily lined up for selecting across one array. I am trying to use XIRR, and it won't recognize the function! I have both the Analysis ToolPak and the Analysis ToolPak VBA add-ins checked under tools. What else could be causing Excel not to recognize the function? I tried using it as "Insert, Formula" but that did not work, either! Weird. TR- ritzta
