Bill 'MrExcel' Jelen To Present at InDesign Conference in New Orleans

I'm so excited to be a part of CreativePro Week this coming June 4-8, 2018 in New Orleans! I know... you are asking yourself... why is MrExcel speaking at an InDesign Conference? Well, here's how I see it. I am super-awesome at Excel. I use Excel 40 hours a week. But I also write and publish books about Excel, so I find myself spending several weeks each year immersed deep in Adobe InDesign, laying out books, indexing, creating e-books.

I don't think there are many people who crossover from the analytics of Excel to the creative world of Adobe. I imagined that every once in a while, the creative folks have to leave their comfortable world of Adobe and open Excel. And they are probably as intimidated by Excel as I am by InDesign.

I've always wanted to attend the InDesign Conference so I could begin my steps to become proficient at InDesign. Finally, this year, my schedule and their schedule matched. But I said to myself: How can I be at a conference and not be speaking? I love to speak! I love to present.

So, I humbly asked David Blattner and Anne Marie Concepcion if they could make just 45 minutes for a guy to offer Excel tips to people who use InDesign 40 hours a week. I knew the answer would be no. And as I expected, the answer was No. But... wait... a couple days later, we were all intrigued by this session, and I am on the agenda. I am so happy, I could just pivot my data.
