Highlight a file on an already open Windows Explorer window

I know how to open Windows Explorer to a certain path with the certain file already highlighted. My question...Is is possible to highlight a file on a Windows Explorer window that is already open.

Example: I have a Windows Explorer window open that has a bunch of '.wav' files. I want to be able to enter in the file name (i.e. '0003') and then the file '0003.wav' will automatically be selected.

Does that make sense? Any suggestions?

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Sort of a bump....

I can find the handle (hWnd) of the opened Explorer window that I want to change. Would it be possible to use the SendMessage api (and maybe LVM_SETHOTITEM) to select a different file in that window?

Thanks again.
