using Excel/VBA to search for text

Hello All

I am trying to create a macro that willallow me to search files within a specified folder for a text string....
Any ideas/

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
I've not seen such code posted here before (as a general search function, anyway). I'd recommend you use the ordinary search tools that come with Windows XP / Vista: Search Companion or Windows Desktop Search. These utilities will let you put in a value you want to find (and add a number of other criteria as well, if desired), and of course in a search area from a single file to your whole computer as needed.
