Hello!

I have data in three columns: A,B,C and each columns has several rows with numbers.

I want to return all the A numbers that match:

B= 4 or 3
AND
C = 5

Any idea?

I have been browsing through several websites but most at horrible in explaining bit by bit the formulas.

Thanks!

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
You could give some examples of what you have and also show the expected result.

Can't you accomplish this using filters? Set the custom filter for column B to be 4 or 3 and the filter for column C to 5. Once filtered you can copy/paste the data or do whatever else you want to do with it.

Thanks!

Will this return the whole array so that I can feed it in a SMALL formula to extract the nth values?

You are welcome ...

To answer your question : Yes ... absolutely ...

Just out of curiosity ...

Have you carried out your own tests ... ???

Yes I am working on it.
But it is confusing that formulas can return a single reference or a range (array).
Which formulas are these?
I never expected that the IF formula can return an array.
