Excel 2024: Circle Invalid Data Automatically

You have some numbers in a worksheet. Those cells should be between 60 and 90 inclusive.

Select the range of data. On the Data tab, open Data Validation. Allow a Whole Number. Choose Between and 60 and 90. Click OK.

Go back to the Data Validation drop-down and choose Circle Invalid Data.

Excel will automatically circle the values that don't meet the validation rule.

Oddity 1: The Year 2025 is the Square of 45

Most people reading my books are between the ages of 22 and 69. Statistically, even fewer will be 88 or older. So, I can say with some certainty that if you are reading this book, the year 2025 will be the only time in your lifetime that the year with be a perfect square. Enter =45^2 in a cell in Excel and you will get the number 2025. The last time this happened was in 1936 (aka 44 squared). The next time it will happen will be in 2116 (aka 46 squared). So, 2025 is likely the only square year that you will be alive. I am writing this in 2024 so you have plenty of time to plan out your Square Parties for New Years Eve 2024.
