Zero Values randomly being replaced by N/A's - no idea what is causing

I have a workbook with lots of sheets and macros. At random times, certain "zero values" are replaced by "N/A" (the string N/A, not the #NA error). I can't find any pattern or reason for why this happens. Only about 1% of zeros are affected - all of them are static values, and none are involved in any macros whatsoever.

Has anyone heard of this before? A colleague suggested the issue may pertain to a broader MSFT error, as opposed to something unique to our workbook.

Fingers crossed for any ideas!

Hi MC,

Since the zeros are being replaced with "N/A" instead of #N/A, I suggest starting by doing a find search through any open VBA projects for the string "N/A".

If they were getting replaced by #N/A, there would be a lot more potential causes.

Nailed it - random sort function ran amok. Ty for this brilliantly simple idea.
