YTD and MTD slicers in Power Pivot

Hi,
I'm trying to build ad "Intelligent" date frame slicer. (like YTD, MTD etc.)
I found this video (
) showing how to do it in Power BI but this will not fit into PowerPivot.
Any ideas how to implement similar in Power Pivot?
