Hi Mr Excel,

I tried doing this and it didn't work. I do not manually type the "vlookup" instead I go the function (fx) button and find it that way. I get an error when I try to duplicate your instructions displayed on the video. I am pulling the columns from another workbook file and not sure if this is feasiable.

Please help.

Is the external workbook open or closed?

When the external workbook is closed, you can not be referring to more than 10K cells in the closed workbook. This is a limit that is very easy to hit...1000 rows of 10 columns will do it.

One workaround that I've seen is Harlan Grove's PULL function.
