You cannot make another search so soon after your last

Hello all,
It seems like I am constantly getting this error message:
"You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while." This is very frustrating when I check my own posts and then go to check for unanswered posts to help people and then have to wait. (Which I may or may not remember to come back.) Can we tweak this a little?

I believe you just have to wait 30 seconds in between searches.

I get this as I only ever use 'view posts since last visit' to find 15 pages of posts so then decide to use 'view unanswered posts' instead but always get told to I can't search so soon.

I didn't think it was a long as 30 secs though.

I am thinking that the hidden benefits outweigh the annoyance to us but if on the off chance it serves little or no purpose, please can it be gotten rid of

We had to add a delay because bots were slowing the board down to a crawl and it was locking up.

Would it be possible to make the wait time conditional based on the username? That way if you have shown yourself to not be an abuser you could could be added to the list?
