Xl2bb freezing issues

I keep trying to utilize Xl2bb to make a mini book when I post to forums for a workbook I am creating. However, every time I try and create the mini book it keeps freezing excel and I need to force restart it. If I first copy the cells I want to create the mini book for into a brand new workbook then I can use Xl2bb. I am using Data validations that reference tables on other worksheets as well as formulas that reference other worksheets if that matters.

Anyone have any advice on this? I got add-in to show up and "work" except when i try to capture range, excel freezes. Also have external refs

Clear the Named Ranges, Cond. Formatting, and Data Validation options then retry by adding each one back at a time to see which one causes the failure.

The workbook should have an unexpected (non-standard) data/structure/element for that option that fails. Let me know if you can narrow it down, so I can also check it if you could share the sample workbook that falls.

Finally, also check if "Manually copy the generated code" option helps.

Thank you. I unchecked data validation and everything works. Luckily don't use that much. So stoked to have this finally working

You mentioned external references. Is it a named range that refers to an external source in your workbook or external reference used in a data validation?
