I inherited a spreadsheet that has a conditional format in cell C18 that states =XFC18<C18 and it turns the text red when I put a value in the cell. How do I interpret this? Thanks
Well part of my message is missing -- cell states "=XFC18 is less than C18" and it turns the text red when a value is placed in the cell (other than 0). It has the 'less than' symbol, not the words but if I put the symbol here it cuts off my post.
It means it is comparing that cell to the value that is in cell XFC18, and if it is equal to it, the Conditional Formatting will be applied.
To quickly jump to that cell to see what is in it, just press F5 and then enter XFC18 and hit OK.
