i ran the code, it was successful, except this portion did not populate in the spread sheet....

GetEquation = "="
k = Me.TxtBeginPeriod
For j = 1 To Periods
GetEquation = GetEquation & "+'\\APC-SQL\Reports\Flow Thru\Period FT P&Ls\" & Me.TxtYear & "\[P" & k & "FTP&L.xls]" & stWkshtName & "'!$I11"
k = k + 1
Next j
.Range("I11") = GetEquation

what did i mess up?

btw, periods = txtEndPeriod - TxtBeginPeriod

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Try this

.Range("I11").Formula = GetEquation

By the way why are you using k when you could use j.
