Hi Everyone,

:( I'm sorry if the same has been asked before, but I haven't got a clue yet from searching.

So..

I have this Feedback Form (UserForm). I want the feedback form values to be written on a closed workbook. Say, "C:\EGD\Temp.xls". The UserForm is filled out by many users and, of course, the excel workbook is shared. After that, the workbook should be saved.

I can't get to work around 'ADO' functions posted in other threads.

My only problem is in the 'writing of values' part.

Any suggestions you may have are welcome. Hope you could help me on this one.

Thanks,
E-R Gabriel Doronila

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Couldn't you just open the workbook, write the values and then save and close it again?

You could do that in the background without the user knowing or intervening.

Actually this is a system using VBA. The 'Feedback' is part of a larger system that is being updated regularly (more like, 3-5x a day). The file can't be shared from folder directly to users because of server issues. Feedbacks are supposed to be sent with a corresponding data from the system (which consists of 10 line updates per user). So I thought, a feedback system is essential.

Hope someone could post an example of a working code.

I would like a developed VBA to work these for us, the only thing that is missing is the 'writing' part. A simple code will do, i just hope that there's enough clue that suits my case.

Thanks,

Haven't actually tried it yet. I've found the thread not suitable for me so i didn't bother to try. There are also links posted with examples of ADO but upon opening it, it says "page not found"..

Do you have a working code that lets me write a value to a closed workbook invisibly (or w/o the user knowing)? Kindly post them here so I could find what I might be missing..

Thanks,

Sorry I don't have anything to hand.

I did a quick google search and there were quite a few results for writing to a closed Excel workbook.

Not sure what you mean by a 'working code', do you mean an example you can adapt and alter for your specific needs?
