Write a help desk system in Excel

HI I am sorry if this is the wrong forum. But just wanted to hear have you seen or perhaps have a help desk system entirely in excel?
We need the users to enter their issues, track it and assign to a tech, time lines, status. Perhaps could have alerts. If we could have email features for instance, if I get a request to unlock a user, I would tic that it's been accomplished and this send the user such an email.

Hi,
I'm sorry but Excel is technically not an appropiate system for making Help Desk funcionality for many reasons. You may use for that Access, although I woyld not recommend it either. I my opinion you should use appropiate for that kind of stuff data base functionality like for ex. Sharepoint HelpDesk with SQL database in the background.
