Hello

I have 2 sheets in my workbook. Basically it is an external and internal version of the same content. All information on the external sheet is linked by formula to the corrosponding internal version.

So in A1 on external version is a formula linking to A1 on external version. Both cells are set to wrap. Inputting something in A1 Internal is wrapped correctly but A1 External is not wrapped desite the content is too long to be show.

Any ideas as to how to get this working correctly? Preferably without VBA. :)

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
it is probably wrapping correctly, just not adjusting the row height.
AFAIK row height can be :
- manually adjusted,
- semi-automatic (AutoFit row height by double clicking on the line between the two row labels)
- Automatic - when an event occurs that suggests there is a need to check the row height e.g. delete, enter or change text in cell on the condition that text wrapping is turned on for this cell.
Since you only have a formula in the cell and don't change anything in it Excel doesn't know the row height has to be adjusted. If you enter the cell to edit the formula and then press enter it will probably adjust just fine.

The other time row height will fail (or not try at all) to adjust is when the text is in a merged cell.
