Happy Friday!

I've got a large spreadsheet (4k rows) of contacts who have standard columns with addresses, emails etc. AND all have the country where the contact is located. Every single entry has this value.

I want to make three spreadsheets for global regions (Europe, North America, ROW) that pulls rows of contact information based on the country.

So if the country was USA or Canada, I would want the row to pull through to the North America spreadsheet.

I've tried to achieve this with a INDEX and MATCH formula unsuccessfully, I think I'm barking up the wrong tree.

Maybe some crazy variation of an IF statement?

I really don't know where to start with this.

Any help/ ideas are greatly appreciated, I hope what I'm trying to achieve is clear.

Cheers,

SwimmingNathan

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Forgot to add. Excel Home and Student 2013, Windows 8, I have searched the forum, but to be honest I'm not sure if I was using the right terms.

You could create a pivot table on your country field and then group certain countries into regions. Double-clicking on the number under your North America group, for example, will give you a sheet with all the rows for that group.

Think I'll have to try that, I realised that it wouldn't be possible to skip rows with any drag down formula (doh!)

Cheers dude!
