Hello, I have an issue with worksheet links through a network drive. System information:

Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit
Microsoft Office 2010 Professional

I have two workbooks, v1_File and v3_File. Both are Microsoft Excel Macro Enabled workbooks and are both saved on a network drive. The v1_File has links to v3_File. When I open the v1_file, I drag the cells with the links over 1 column to the left. An Excel window then pops up asking me to browse to the file that contains the referenced links.

Both files were created on another users computer, but have always been saved to the network drive. (we do this a lot and I do not have this issue with any other worksheet)

File -> Options -> Formulas -> Workbook Calc is automatic
File -> Options -> Advanced -> When calculating this workbook -> Update links to other documents and Save external link value are checked
'' -> Trust center Settings
1. I have added the file path as a trusted location.
2. Ativex, Macro, and external content are all enabled without warning
3. No file types are set for File Block Settings
4. I don't have this issue with any other workbook
5. When I access the file, I go through a shortcut on my desktop to the shared drive. We don't use drive letters when we link excel file, we use the server name in the link i.e. \\brnfsw01\vol1\...

I hope I have provided enough information. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
