Hello,

I have this excel file that is in a shared drive, sometime this file will not open or will crash trying to open, but when another co-worker opens the file (yes they can open it) and saved the file with another name then it will work for me.

Any ideas why this could be happening?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
I'd try running Disk Cleanup on your machine. Close down ALL applications first, then open Explorer, right-click the C: drive, choose Properties, choose the Tools tab and click Disk Cleanup.

Is the file shareable? Maybe the other user should open it, make it unshareable, confirm removing change history, make it shareable again, then save and close it.
