Hi,

Using Office 365.

I have a workbook I have been using for several year where I refresh pivot tables every 2 weeks.
Today all of a sudden when I highlight a range on data in a Pivot Table or just a range on a worksheet and hit [Ctrl]+[C] on the keyboard, Excel immediately begins recovering all open workbook and repair the main workbook.

On thoughts what is going on and how I can get past this?
I have closed everything and rebooted, the problem persists.

thanks,
-lou

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
You haven't accidently assigned a macro to CTRL + C have you ??

Thanks Michael,

I don't believe so, at least not intentionally.
I have previous week backups, so I tried to remove any vba modules. The file continues to crash and attempt to recover and repair.
I tried to open the file in Excel/Safe Mode by holding [Ctrl] while I opened the file. I then removed all modules one-by-one.
I then saved the file and saw the spinning wheel for a long time.
Eventually, a message came back, "We found a problem with some content in "file.xlsb" Do you want to try to recover as much as we can? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes."

Any thoughts of what I can do to try to recover this workbook?

thanks
-lou
