Hi all can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong please

So I have a macro-enabled workbook that is password protected. I am trying to copy the workbook so I can give a 'clean' version to my wife to use.

I simply copied the original and renamed the copy. I then needed to change the workbook password, so I went in to the review tab, clicked Protect Workbook and entered the password to a new one. I saved the workbook and reopened it but the old original password was still active. I tried again by not entering anything in the password field but the same thing happened?

The workbook is coded with some VBA but nothing that would relate to passwords

Anyone got any idea what's going on or pointers to what I can do to resolve this?

Thanks

Paul

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Try this:
• Open the newly created (copied) workbook
• Press <F12> (Save As)
• Bottom right corner Tools > General Option
• Type in the new password (twice)
• Click on Save and OK to overwriting the existing copy

Does you workbook open with the right password now ?
