Is there a way to embed multiple workbooks each with their multiple sheets into one workbooks where the tabs would correspond to the inserted workbooks.

Clicking a tab in this workbook would open up a workbook and not just a sheet.

Seems very handy and general purpose.

Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Nothing that I'm aware of - but how about creating a parent workbook with all sheets having a worksheet activate subroutine that opens the relevant workbook (and does any other housekeeping you might want e.g. closing other open workbooks). You could put the workbook name in cell A1 of each sheet and pick it up from there in the subroutine.
