Hi Guys

This might be something and nothing, but I sure can't work it out.

Someone sent me a Word document that opened up with a Book View that I haven't seen before, where document's are normally in the middle of the page there was two side by side.

I've seen this before in Print Preview options but never as a way of editing the document.

Trouble is, now all my documents are opening in this view and I can't find how to switch it off!

I have tried the View > Normal / Print / Web and when I change to Normal or Web the page appears as it should, when I go back to the Print view though I am back with two pages on screen. I've been into Tools > Options as well but couldn't see anything obviously wrong in there.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
I believe it's a setting in the page setup.

Go to File\Page Setup\Margins tab. In the Pages section, make sure "Normal" is selected in the dropdown list next to "Multiple pages."

Hi Jazz
It sounds like you're in Reading Layout.
Click on View and change to Print layout

Thanks for the help, but I went with a reinstall in the end and it fixed it funnily enough LOL

Kirsty, Normal was selected "Page Setup" was where I was convinced I was going to find the answer and I think I tried just about every combination of every setting. Well... Possibly not, but close ;)

Micheal - Yes, it was like I was in Reading Layout, but I wasn't, I could edit and treat the pages as a normal document as though I had it in Print Layout.

I think it must just have been a glitch somewhere along the line, I opened the document again and it was fine so I am still none the wiser.

But, again, thanks for the help - And Merry Xmas to you all!
