I have a custom document/application that I am trying to make. Its a proposal gereration tool that I would like to have collaboration with Access.

We have a library of proposals that we have made that are were custom, but there are so many of them, that a lot of information is repetitive as it has been explained or documented in other proposals. The proposals are made from the same template and we are trying to make a system with something like dropdown menus to choose paragraphs from different proposals.

Basically, we want to create the guts of the proposal from previous proposals and have them populate a new proposal. After that, we will customize, but the initial guys are taking bloody ages to do. There are programs to do this, but are usually quite expensive (have been quoted $10,000 for some).

Can I populate Access with the proposals and have Word pull from this to populate new document. It seems like it should be fairly easy to do, but I am not proficient with Access or Word enought to know how to do it. I think of myself as pretty slick with Excel and creating fuctions with it.

Any help or direction would be much appreciated.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Why not just use Mail Merge form Word with your Access table as the data source?

I am not sure if that will work. I will have to give it a shot I guess and see what I come up with.

Thanks - Hendy
