First of all - thanks for reading my questions, and thanks especially for any answers!:)

I have Word 2010. I seem to remember that you could enter simple formulas in tables within Word. I have a 5 page document that has one 2x5 table that I would like to put a very simple formula in "B5" (=B1-B2-B3-B4). Is this possible, or is my "Old Timer's Disease" kicking in again?

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
hi Wlhagen,

You need a formula field for the calculation. To create it, press Ctrl-F9 to create a pair of field braces (ie '{}'), then type your formula between them. You should end up with '{=B1-B2-B3-B4}'. Press F9 when you're done to get the result.

To see how to do a wide range of other calculations in Word, check out my Microsoft Word Field Maths Tutorial, at:
