Forgive me, I'm new to this and probably need things spelled out very simply...

I'm trying to put together a newsletter in Word 2007 that will be sent out in Outlook 2007. Can I create something in the regular Print Layout view using regular Word features (shapes, borders, etc) and then import or paste into an Outlook 2007 e-mail?

I have read that Outlook 2007 uses html coding for e-mails with the Word 2007 engine...does that mean if I want to create a newletter in an e-mail I would have to code it in html within Word 2007? Or could I somehow convert a layout I design like a regular print-out in Word 2007 after I design it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi jcash,

If you're using Word as your Outlook email editor, the apps will work out the niceties for you. Even copying & pasting between Word and Outlook should be OK.

However, either approach limits your control over the presentation of the newsletter at the recipient's end. Some email clients may not be set up to handle html emails and, even then, the printouts my look different than you intended. The safest way of ensuring that what the recipient sees is what you meant them to is to send the newsletter as a PDF attachment.
