Is there a way to retrieve a wintimer ID when it starts running, the system automatically assigns a number to it when it starts so it knows what to end when you end it, this is what I want to retrieve.
Based on the answer that you provided as per below, I therefore thought that if the operating system allocated a number that somehow I could retrieve that number.
I still have problems where my timer loses focus and therefore either keeps running even though killtimer is run, or 2 instances of the timer start running and therefore they both run at double speed.
A TimerID is a number allocated by the operating system
