My computer is part of a network at work and certain files need to be accessed by only certain members of the network.
I know that individual files can be password protected in Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc. But is it possible to password protect or restrict access to a folder within windows?
The folder may contain text files, photos, excel spreadsheets and the like.

many thanks for any advice.

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
Go to windows explorer - select the folder - right-click - select Properties - Select Security Tab and give the necessary permissions

Talk to your IT guys, if you have any. They do this stuff all the time. They will need a list of the Windows logins for the people who need to see / use the folder.
