I have a folder with 100 separate Excel documents (login statistics by day for past 100 days). I want to search these for a particular USERID. When I use Windows Search function for "Word or phrase in document" it comes back "there are no results to display". But if I open one of the spreadsheets, I can see the userid I am looking for, and if I use Edit search within the document it finds the userid.

Any ideas?

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Hello

the Dir() function can be used to loop through Excel files in a folder.
This forum will show you many many topics on Dir() if you browse or use the Search function.
