will excel 2002 work correctly in windows 10?

we are used to to and it does all we want, so are reluctant to update.
tried it. didnt like it.
so if we update to win 10 from 7/64, will excel 2002 work correctly?

Generally speaking, if the application will open in W10 then it will work as desigined up to the point of saving the file. Since xl2002 only has a 3 digit file extension and a different file format from those Excel versions starting with xl2007, you will need to specifiy the file format when saving your files so Excel knows how to handle it.

Note: Being able to install & run Office 2002 is an entirely separate issue from whether it can handle the newer file formats - which it can't without also installing the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=33298. Accordingly, the advice in post 2 is a serious misdirection in that regard. Even with the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack installed, the later file formats may open but much of their functionality will be lost.
