I need to know how can I use a wild card in following formula.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
=VLOOKUP(R959,Table!$A$2:$F$141,6,FALSE)
Or
=LOOKUP(9.99999999999999E+307,SEARCH(R959,Table!$A$1:$A$147),Table!$F$1:$F$147)

Lookup value in column R is shorter than lookup table in column A on sheet “Table”.

Therefore I need to put &”*” on R value.

Thanks

Excel Facts

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Perhaps

=VLOOKUP(R959&"*",Table!$A$2:$F$141,6,FALSE)<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
