A little back ground. I was searching for a book that specifically outlined the use of the Analysis ToolPak in Excel. No add-ins or ancillary programs, but plain, vanilla statistical analysis using the ATP.

I was loathe to find that the only all encompassing book with just these concepts was a Dummies publication for Stat Analysis in excel. For obvious reasons I was skeptical as I did not need a cursory overview of basic stats, but instead, how to use the ATP as I had learned with such packages as Palisades StatTools (add-in) and MiniTab, both powerful tools, but not available where I work or have ever worked as the finance department is not willing to spend upwards of $2K on a prgram I will use, but sparingly.

This is the only book I manged to find that addresses this specific subject. Suprisingly, the book has a lot of detail and covers the material well, even in mathematical depth if ou so choose to delve.

Here's the rub. I can;t very wel be seen at work with a bright yellow book that says Dummies on it even if the ine of books weren't already notorious. is there a site, or even some VBA add-in code that can design a book cover?

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Sounds like something you could do in any graphical application (eg, Publisher if you have it -- or even Paint).
Alternatively, get some Contact and wrap the book in that ;-)
