Hello ALL,

My question is:

why is my 2016 excel spreadsheet so much wider than it was in excel 2013?

Thanks for any help!

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Please explain what you mean by wider. Are your fonts the same in both versions? Size and type? Columns narrower? Larger Screen? Many possible reasons, but you need to tells us what you mean and explain what it is all about. We cannot see your screen from either version, so you must explain.

Hello Alan and thanks for responding. In Office 2013 I could have my spreadsheet open(not full screen/or edge to edge)and see all of my macro icons. In Office 2016, even pulling it open from edge to edge I cannot. Tried on same monitor and also new monitor both with HDMI connection and 1920x1080 resolution.

It appears that Microsoft made some changes with 2016. I don't store but two or three icons on the QAT so I didn't notice the difference. I googled excel resize QAT and found several posts on this subject. Apparently you can increase the QAT to two lines or there is some functionality with Touch/Mouse. Take a look at the links that come up when you run the Google Query and you might find a suitable answer.

BTW: I use Alt F8 or just one Icon on the QAT to open all my macros. Personally, I find it less clutter and I cannot remember the different symbols I establish for each Icon.

Oh, I figured as much, but could not find ..as I am setting up a new PC, it has been very nerve racking to say the least.
I really appreciate your input, and your suggestions. Sounds like something I will have to try.

Thanks again Alan, you have made life a little easier. Your help is greatly appreciated!
