I have a Excel file on my One drive, i have say A1 to H1000 all with data, B1 to G1000 are all hidden, I want the user to select (drag & copy A1 to H1) then paste values on a different workbook, but when i go to paste it only pastes the value in A1 & H1 and nothing inbetween.

Any idease why, it doesnt have the visible only option via goto special selected

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
That's not quite correct. I suspect that you have a filter applied.
Without a filter applied it will pick up the hidden columns but with a filter it won't.

There does not seem to be a manual way around this other than unfiltering the rows or unhiding the columns.
So you might need to look at using a macro.
