Hi all,

I don't understand why sometimes when I clic on a PowerPivot file hosted in the Shared documents section of a Sharepoint site, it gets downloaded instead of just opening inside my browser (Chrome). I'd say 8 out of 10 times, it works just fine, the file opens and isn't dowloaded.
Thanks for your help...

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
I believe this is due to a SharePoint setting. SharePoint admins can choose how browser-enabled documents should be opened by default when a user clicks on the link. This can be set on a per library basis (unsure if it can be altered per individual document).

The setting is located in the Document Library Settings - Advanced Settings.

It's the Opening Documents in Browser option, you have three choices:

1. Open in the client application
2. Open in the browser
3. User the server default
