I am trying to highlight a row if there exist a row with empty cell in it. I added a Conditional Formatting rule with Formula =$D3="" and applied to
$A$2:$E$11. But, this highlighted both a cell in Col D with empty cell and also non-empty cell. Why? See the attached snapshot of both.

thanks,
NA

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
The formula should be D2 not D3. The row must match the 1st row in the applies to range.

Ok. How do I change that formula to have a row highlighted if one or more cells are blank from C2:E11?

thanks,

As that is a completely different question it needs a new thread.
