I have two Excel's files out of 7 that shown with light color icons in Windows 10 Explorer.
I am using Excel 2016.
These two files will not open in Excel, but the other Excel files will.
How do I correct this problem and open the file?

Thanks in advance

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
They could be encrypted or compressed. You might try this.

Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
> Start > Settings > Control Panel. > Folder Options.
> View tab
de-select "Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color"

3rd option from bottom
Click on Apply - File Names will be black.

A light color icon in Windows Explorer indicates that it is a hidden file. To correct go the file in Windows Explorer. On the task bar click on view. Go to the section show/hide and click on hidden items. If the file is hidden it will change brightness.

To unhide a file – Right click on the file icon. Click on properties. The general screen will be shown. Go to the lower box and remove the check mark on the hidden box. Click apply and okay. The file will no longer be hidden.

This will not help opening the file, but explain the light color icon
