Hello folks,

I am trying to use Ctrl+F to find/replace on my spreadsheet.

In row 5 I have the following: =IF('C:\Users\melsm\Desktop\[2021 data.xlsm]Data'!$C$60=0,"",'C:\Users\melsm\Desktop\[2021 data.xlsm]Data'!$C$67)

and i have another 58 rows of the same statement that i wish to change the references of. For instance, i want to change $60 to $225 and $67 to $232. When I use Ctrl+F and in the Find window i enter $60 and in the Replace window $225, I keep getting the screen message:

My sheet isn't protected and I cannot understand why this will not work. Any ideas anyone?

Under options do you have
Look in: set to Formula
"Match entire Cell" unchecked

Hello Fluff,

I have closed and reopened my workbook and tried again. Lo and behold it worked although I don't know why as I didn't change anything. The Ctrl+F/ options shows this:

Still it now work.

Many thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

I suspect that you either had Match entire cell checked, or were looking in values not formulas.
Both of those will revert to the default settings when you close & open Xl.
