Hi everyone,

We have a monthly data dump of accounting journal entries data, several hundreds of thousands of lines.

We need to be able to print a summary page for each of the entries based on the journal reference number, Meaning, we just enter the journal reference number and the summary page would pull all the data from the dump and show on the page. Would MS Access be able to do this?

Typically this function should be an integral part of our accounting system. But the developers of our system for some reasons did not include in the design and if we are to have it reprogrammed now, it would cost a fortune.

Thanks

Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)

Even Excel 365 can do that... In both Access & Excel similar effort is required to pull data... Only difference would be you can play with data in many ways for analysis in Excel 365. Hope it helps you in some way.

Yes, Access should do this quite easily with a report.
