I am trying to sort out a macro's code. In Jelen and Bill's book "VBA and Macros Microsoft Excel 2010" there is a Tip that refers to "the Restore Down icon at the top right of the VBA window" but I don't see it. But maybe I'm confusing the windows.

I'm in the window I get to when I click Alt-F11 and I'm assuming that is the VBA window. But I don't see this option here or in the spreadsheet window.

Is there an option that needs to be set for the Restore Down icon to appear?

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
The button toggles between Restore Down and Maximize according to window state.

So that's what that icon (a Window's icon, that is square for full and double square when not full) is called? I never knew! I thought the reference was to an XL icon! Live and learn!

Thanks for enlightening me (-:

You're welcome.

If you hover over them, they identify themselves.

It never occurred to me to do that, since I always knew what they did. I tried it and, sure enough, "Restore Down". Thanks (-:
