Hi,

I am told that I can download a compiler from Microsoft.com so that I can run any vba code that I write. I'm having trouble finding it on the site. I'm not even sure what it would be called which doesn't help my searching.

Am I being making myself clear at all?

Sorry if I'm on the wrong forum for this.

Colm

Hi Colm,

You've been misled - there is no such compiler. There is a VB compiler in Visual Studio, but you'll need to migrate your code to Visual Studio. Depending on the extent to which your code uses forms and/or Office-specific code, you may be in for a fair bit of re-writing.

So it's Visual Studio that I have to install on my laptop if I want to run VB code?

Thanks Macropod.

Hi Colm,

Not necessarily - if the vb code has been compiled, then it's only the EXE and any associated files you'll need.
