Where is power pivot in excel 2013 home premium, it was in excel 2013 home premium preview, but not in excel 2013 home premium

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
I think they took it out and it's now just in the premium SKU's :(

Back when I was at MS, Office Marketing did something VERY similar in Office 2003. It was a disaster and marketing eventually relented, vowing we'd never do that again.

Time passes however. All those people are gone and old (bad) ideas become new (bad) ideas once again.

@ powerpivotpro

I was going to mention it on your site last night, but I didn't want to kill the fun atmosphere. I too am disappointed. Looks like it's only an add-in for Office Professional Plus. No way anyone could of known that before hand since there was never any mention.

On the bright side, at least my computer at work still has 2010 (with Powerpivot) on it.

Another trick from Microsoft, First make everyone happy by saying powerpivot is included and then the disappointment

It's just business. Doesn't mean that it's SMART business. And I bet the SQL team (who builds most of PowerPivot) is NOT happy about this decision. The whole point of desktop PowerPivot being free was to get it the broadest possible exposure. Now the Office marketing folks have somewhat hijacked that.

The nature of the beast, for better and worse. Chances are good they will regret this and reverse this decision in the next Office wave.

If Microsoft has taken the PowerPivot goodie out of the regular SKUs of Office 2013, you can add me as another lost sale for the 2013 version. :hammer:

I will also continue to use Excel 2010.
Rob, I am one of the buyers of your book, and my name is in the book.
Thank you for this great book! It is the icing on the cake.
