When I autofill a cell in my table it is filling the background color too. How do I stop this?

I have an Excel table formatted as a table. It has a light-blue table style (alternating light-blue/white rows). When I autofill a cell down through the entire column the light-blue background gets filled too. So for that column only the entire column is solid blue (no alternating rows). I thought that was weird so I looked at the fill color in Font Options -> Fill -> Pattern Color, and it was set to blue. I'm pretty sure I did not individually set each alternating row to have a blue fill color, so how could this have happened? And how do I remove just the fill color for every cell in the table?

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
Select all the cells in the table, go to Home>Font and on the fill color dropdown choose "No fill"
